Sopwith Triplane 1:32 Roden is an injection-molded plastic kit of the British fighter triplane of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from the manufacturer Roden presents the British fighter triplane Sopwith Triplane in the large scale of 1:32. The set is made in injection-molded plastic, it offers a detailed rotary engine, a finely drawn cockpit and the option of single or twin machine-gun armament; decals for several period markings are enclosed. The model is intended to be glued together and painted.
The Sopwith Triplane was a British fighter triplane deployed above all with the squadrons of the Royal Naval Air Service. Its three narrow lifting surfaces gave it excellent rate of climb and a good view out, thanks to which it was a feared opponent in its day. A number of successful Allied pilots flew the machines.
A triplane calls for patience with the struts and the bracing wires. Use liquid cement on the plastic and work the cockpit and the engine out before the fuselage is closed up. Bring out the fabric surfaces with light shading, add the bracing wires with fine thread and paint the shiny parts of the engine in metallic shades.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
