A decal sheet in 1:32 with the markings of Spitfire LF Mk.IXE aircraft in the postwar Czechoslovak Air Force. Made for plastic models of this type.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire is among the best-known fighters of the Second World War. The Mk.IX version was powered by the Merlin V12 engine, and the letters in the designation narrow down the pattern: LF marks a machine tuned for flight at low altitude, and E the arrangement of the armament in the wing. After the end of the war Czechoslovak airmen brought Spitfires home from Britain, and the machines then served for a time in the postwar Czechoslovak Air Force, where they received new national insignia and domestic markings.
This is a decal sheet in 1:32 with the markings of machines of the postwar Czechoslovak Air Force. The set is meant to be used on a model built from a kit of the Spitfire LF Mk.IXE in that scale. Check the number of machines covered and the extent of the sheet against the manufacturer's information.
The decals are applied the wet way. Cut the individual motif out as close to the artwork as you can, dip it in lukewarm water for a moment and let it stand until it starts to slide freely on the backing paper. A gloss clear coat belongs under a decal; on a matte surface air gets caught under the film and a light frame forms around the artwork. Press the seated decal down with a soft cloth and let it dry thoroughly. On busy areas a softener helps, as it closes the film into the engraved lines. Finally give the model the clear coat that suits the surface you want it to have.
The model, the paints and the clear coats are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
