This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is not a kit of an aircraft but a set of photo-etched parts aimed at the outside of a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk. II fighter in 1:32 scale. It is an exterior set, that is parts that go on the surface of the airframe, not in the cockpit.
An exterior photo-etched set usually contains fine external elements such as flaps, covers, grilles, radiator outlets, small latches and plates that in plastic are only suggested. The photo-etched metal parts are thinner and crisper than plastic and markedly raise the realism of the surface, especially in the large 1:32 scale.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and bend them over a straight blade or in a bending tool. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) in a small amount. Apply a primer to the metal so that the paint holds well. With thin external parts, take care to line them up with the panel lines.
The set contains photo-etched parts only, not the plastic model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
