Spitfire Mk.II exhausts in 1:32 scale are resin replacement exhausts from Quickboost for a model of this British fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory from the Quickboost brand brings precisely cast exhaust stubs for a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire in the Mk.II version in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but a replacement part that will take the place of the simplified exhausts from the box with more faithful castings with a fine surface and a suggested open mouth.
The Spitfire Mk.II was an early production version of the legendary fighter, powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. Along the sides of the engine it carried a row of fishtail exhaust stubs with a splayed mouth, which is a prominent detail right in the line of sight onto the nose. A good casting with a realistic shape lifts the look of a finished model more than the smooth plastic parts from the box do.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap, because of the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw or snap them off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit against the fuselage before gluing; the mouths of the exhausts can be drilled out finely and picked out with dark metallic and rusty shades.
The accessory is supplied as a resin replacement part, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
