This resin accessory set from Aires brings the finely rendered landing gear bays of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc fighter in 1:32 scale. The richly detailed resin parts replace the simpler plastic pieces from the box and add a realistic texture to the inside of the wing, with the ribbing and the plumbing. This is an accessory for experienced modelers, not an airplane kit.
The Spitfire Mk.IX was one of the most successful versions of the legendary British fighter of the Second World War. The landing gear bays in the leading edge of the wing are easy to see in the larger scales, and a faithful rendering of them lifts the overall impression of a finished model considerably.
Wash the resin parts free of release agent, separate the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the inside of the bays in the appropriate base shade and bring out the details with a wash and a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
