An accessory set from the Quickboost range, made by the Czech producer Aires. It is not a model of the aircraft but replacement parts: the pitot tubes and probes on the nose, which in kits tend to be molded too thick and with a visible mold seam. The castings have a slender profile and a sharp point, so that once painted they look natural even in the large 1:32 scale, where every inaccuracy on the nose is clearly visible. The fitting is simple and even a modeler who has not used accessories before will manage it.
The Sukhoi Su-27, in the NATO reporting name Flanker, is a Soviet heavy twin-engine air superiority fighter with a long range. Characteristic of it are the integral aerodynamic layout with a smooth blending of the wing into the fuselage, two widely spaced engine nacelles and a large reserve of fuel in the internal tanks. On the nose it carries a set of air data probes that supply readings of the speed and the attitude of the aircraft; their shape and placement belong to the typical recognition features of the machine. The type became the basis of an extensive family of modernized and derived versions.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the mold release agent is removed. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw as close to the part as possible and level the remainder with wet abrasive paper. Cut the original plastic probe off and clean the hole out, or pre-drill it with a micro drill for a firmer seating. It is bonded with super glue, which you apply in the smallest quantity with the tip of a piece of wire. Fit the probes only at the end of the build, after painting and varnishing, so that they do not break off during handling.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled; paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
