The set replaces the wheels from the plastic kit, where the tread and the shape of the hub tend to be only hinted at. It is not a model of the aircraft or a main part of it, but an accessory. The Su-27 is a twin-engine heavy fighter of Soviet design, taken into service in the middle of the 1980s. Characteristic of it are an integrated aerodynamic concept with a curved blending of the wing into the fuselage, a pair of vertical tails and engines in widely spaced nacelles. Given the weight of the aircraft the undercarriage is of sturdy build, and the nose leg is fitted with protection against the ingestion of foreign objects. The service versions differed over the years in details of the undercarriage, which is exactly the reason why accessory makers offer the early and the late variant of the wheels separately.
After washing the parts in water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and true the seating surface on abrasive paper. They are glued solely with cyanoacrylate. Begin painting with a base coat, spray the hub and once it has dried mask it, and only then comes the rubber in a very dark gray shade rather than pure black. Matte varnish and a fine touch of light dust on the sidewalls of the tire make the greatest difference in a large scale.
