A set of painting masks for the Tempest Mk.V in 1:32 scale from Eduard. They serve for accurate masking of the glazing and other surfaces during painting; the model itself is obtained separately.

Eduard painting masks for the British Hawker Tempest Mk.V fighter in 1:32 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki (washi) tape, follow the cockpit framing and other surfaces exactly, hold well, leave no adhesive residue once removed and can be reused if handled carefully. They make clean spraying of the glazing and of crisp camouflage boundaries easier.
The Tempest was a British single-seat fighter from the end of the Second World War, developed from the earlier Typhoon. It was notable for a powerful H-block engine, a thin elliptical wing and high speed at low altitude. The Mk.V version proved itself in destroying ground targets and in intercepting fast V-1 flying bombs over England.
Stick the masks onto a clean, degreased surface, do not stretch them, and press the edges down with a wooden stick or a toothpick, so that paint cannot run under an edge. Spraying with an airbrush in thin coats is ideal. Take the masks off while the paint has only just dried. Besides the glazing, they also suit masking crisp camouflage transitions as per the instructions.
Masks are not a model. This is a set of masking tapes for the given type; the kit itself, the paints and the glue have to be obtained separately.
