The Korean War at the beginning of the 1950s was the first conflict into which the US Air Force deployed jet fighter aircraft on a larger scale, and at the same time machines with piston engines were serving out their time in it. The pilot of that time flew in a coverall, under which he wore a life vest, a helmet with an oxygen mask and a parachute harness. It is precisely this silhouette that distinguishes a pilot of the 1950s from the crews of later periods, and the figure captures it in 1:32 scale.

This scale is a rewarding one for a figure, because it will bear detail of the face and of the kit that is clearly visible on a finished model. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that you do not wipe away the engraving of the folds of the clothing and the straps. Before painting, wash and degrease the figure; on a greasy surface paint does not hold. Paint the face and hands before you seat the figure in a cockpit or among the other elements of a scene; later you will not reach them with a brush. It pays to distinguish the straps and kit with a darker shade and to emphasize the edges with fine dry brushing. Choose the kind of glue according to the material of the figure and the particular procedure according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The figure is for modelers who feel the lack of a crew and of a scale for comparing size on a finished aircraft. The package contains only the figure; a model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
