1:32 WW II Luftwaffe bombenpersonal + Bomb loader + SC250 bomb N1 is a Black Dog diorama accessory capturing ground crew preparing an SC 250 bomb for loading.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Black Dog accessory for the large scale captures a display from a field airfield of the Luftwaffe: ground crew handling an aerial bomb and the low trolley on which the bomb is brought up under an aircraft. It is not an aircraft kit or a part of one, but a scene in its own right intended for a base beside a finished model or for a diorama. The material, the number of parts and the dimensions are deliberately not stated here, because they are not documented.
Loading a bomb was one of the most demanding operations in preparing a combat flight. The SC 250 was a general-purpose high-explosive aerial bomb with a nominal weight of around 250 kilograms and during the Second World War it was carried by practically the whole German bomber and fighter-bomber armament, from the Ju 87 through the Ju 88 and the He 111 to single-engine machines in the fighter-bomber version. The low trolley made it possible to bring the bomb under the fuselage and to raise it into the rack without a crane.
The scene stands out on a flat base with the grassy surface of an airfield suggested, or a concrete area. The body of the bomb looks good in a dark tone with sharp color bands, which you apply with a thin brush. The metal parts of the trolley will bear light rubbing through on the edges and drybrushing, while earth and dust on the wheels will set the scene into its surroundings. The figures are brought to life by subdued shades of working clothing and carefully accentuated faces.
