The AH-64D Longbow version is distinguished by its mast-mounted radar and advanced avionics. On the sides of the nose it carries large avionics bays, which modelers often build swung open.

Application

• First sand the corresponding plastic bay walls smooth, because the 3D decal is applied directly onto them.
• Release the part from the backing paper with tweezers (with some sets a brief dip helps) and set it in place. The printed resin cannot take a decal softener, so do not apply one to the parts.
• Press it down gently so that the relief beds into the surface; the small parts call for patience and a steady hand.
• The procedure suits advanced modelers rather than beginners.
