A colored display board for a model with the motif of an asphalt road. Asphalt is one of the surfaces equipment really stands on, and under a model it therefore does not look like a backdrop. The load-bearing part is an acrylic board 3 mm thick and 240 x 240 mm in size, that is 24 x 24 cm. The square format suits places where a model has no markedly elongated footprint and is meant to stand in the middle of the area. The board is stiff, does not sag under a model and a model is simply stood on it.
Asphalt is the most universal base you could wish for under a model. It pretends to no particular place and no particular date, it only gives the model firm ground and a sense of scale. According to the name the display board is intended for models of unmanned aircraft, but it will serve just as well under any 1:48 model that fits on the area, that is under vehicles, figures and smaller aircraft.
If the board is protected by a film, take it off only just before displaying it, so that the surface is not scratched. Wipe dust and prints off with a soft dry cloth; thinners and aggressive cleaners dull acrylic and can damage the motif. Stand the model so that its footprint does not cover the most striking part of the artwork. Double-sided adhesive pads, which can be taken off without a trace, will serve against shifting.
The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
