1:100 T-26PT model 1933 - Commander Version is a resin kit of the command version of the Soviet T-26 light tank in 1:100 scale from the maker Zebrano.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the Soviet T-26 light tank in the command form of the model 1933. The parts are cast in resin, so this is a kit for more experienced modelers: the castings are cut from the casting blocks and glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The 1:100 scale suits tabletop battles as well as a collection where a whole unit is to be visible in a small area.
Command tanks were created from ordinary machines by fitting them with a radio set. The recognition feature of Soviet radio tanks of the first half of the 1930s was a prominent frame antenna encircling the turret, which told them apart from the other vehicles of the platoon at a distance; in combat that was a disadvantage rather than an asset, because it made the commander a priority target. The basis remained the T-26 model 1933 with a single cylindrical turret and a gun, the most widespread form of the type, which made up a substantial part of the Soviet tank units in the 1930s.
Wash the castings, cut off the casting blocks and level the surfaces by sanding wet and with respiratory protection. Cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) holds the joints. Proceed especially carefully with the thin parts of the antenna; they are the most fragile places of the whole build and once glued on it is best not to touch them again. Apply a primer before painting, because resin otherwise takes paint unevenly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
