Colored Kelik 3D elements for the interior of a Mirage 2000N model in 1:72 scale, prepared for the Dream Model kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mirage 2000N is the two-seat strike version of the French single-engine combat aircraft with a delta wing. It came into being for reaching a target at low level and high speed, which is reflected in the equipment of both cockpits; the pilot sits in front and the operator behind him. The interior of the aircraft therefore offers instrument panels and side consoles which in 1:72 scale call for fine work.
The set brings colored interior elements with relief, that is instrument panels, side consoles and other surfaces of the cockpit. They take the place of the lengthy hand-painting of tiny dials and levers, which in this scale is hard to hit with a brush. The elements are shaped for the Dream Model kit and may not line up on another Mirage 2000 kit.
The method of application differs from set to set, so go by the manufacturer's instructions before you start. They also state whether the elements are self-adhesive. Prepare the base smooth and degreased and let the paint under the elements cure completely. Transfer the elements with fine-tipped tweezers and seat them first time; repeated shifting damages them. Press them down with a soft stick so that they bed down in the recesses too, and leave the cockpit to dry undisturbed before the fuselage is closed.
The set suits anyone who wants a legible cockpit in a small scale without painting under a magnifier. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
