A turntable for a finished model from the Tamiya range. You stand a model, a bust or a figure on the base and turn it, instead of moving the model itself. This does away with the riskiest moment in looking over finished work, the moment when the model is picked up by an antenna, a propeller or a barrel.
In a display case or on a shelf the base replaces a plain stand and makes it possible to turn another side of the model toward the viewer. For photography it is even more useful: the model stays in place and is turned to the light step by step, so a series of shots keeps the same lighting and the same distance from the lens. It also comes into its own at a model show, where visitors turn a machine themselves and do not have to touch it.
For modelers who display or photograph finished models, and for collectors who want a model in a display case accessible from every side. Its use is not tied to a scale or a type of model; all that matters is the size and the weight of what you stand on it.
