A resin detail accessory in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost range (Czech maker Aires). It is a set of exhaust stacks for the Focke-Wulf Fw-190D-9 fighter. The casting has hollowed-out exhaust openings, which are hard to achieve in plastic, and once glued on and toned it brings the sides of the model's nose to life considerably.
The Fw-190D-9 was powered by the inverted V12 Jumo 213 engine, whose exhausts lined the lengthened nose. Faithful stacks with open openings and traces of heat stress are among the details that draw the eye. The set replaces the kit exhausts with more accurate parts.
Wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and check the fit dry. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Exhausts are usually painted in dark metallic and rust shades with heat transitions toned with washes and pigments; sand the resin with your airways protected.
A resin accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
