1:200 Boeing 767 Landing Flaps is a resin set of landing flaps in the landing configuration for a model of the Boeing 767 airliner. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for a model in 1:200 scale. Target kit: Hasegawa.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from LACI holds resin parts for the trailing-edge landing flaps of the wing extended into the landing position. It is meant for modelers who want to build their Boeing 767 in the dynamic form just before touchdown, not with the wing devices retracted. The set itself does not hold an aircraft model; it is an accessory for a plastic model in 1:200 scale. The castings are shaped for the Hasegawa kit.
The Boeing 767 is a twin-engine wide-body airliner that entered service in the first half of the 1980s. It was among the machines thanks to which twin-engine aircraft established themselves on long oceanic routes. The high-lift devices of its wing are very prominent on approach, and on a model with the flaps retracted they stay completely hidden. That is precisely why extended flaps are among the most rewarding details with which a model of a civil airliner can be brought to life.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water first, so that the mold release residue disappears. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc and level the surfaces with sandpaper, preferably wet and with respiratory protection. Resin is not joined by ordinary modeling cement for plastic; super glue is used. The trailing edge of the wing has to be altered, so proceed slowly and keep trying the fit dry. Apply a primer before painting, as a topcoat holds less well on bare resin than on plastic.
