1:72 Boeing B737-100 landing flaps is a resin set from the brand LACI that lets the landing flaps be shown extended on a model of the Boeing 737-100 airliner in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the brand LACI replaces the trailing-edge section of the wing on a model of the Boeing 737-100 airliner in 1:72 scale so that the flaps can be shown in the extended position. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory. Injection-molded plastic usually renders this area as one closed piece, so a model stands on the ground with a smooth wing although the real machine often has its flaps out while taxiing and after landing.
The Boeing 737-100 was the first and shortest version of the family that later became the most widespread airliner in the world. It entered service in the late 1960s and only a few dozen were built, which makes it a rewarding and not very common subject among modelers. It is the wing high-lift devices that are among the technically most interesting features of the 737: the multi-part trailing-edge flaps allowed operation even from shorter runways, which was one of the reasons for the commercial success of the whole line.
The work calls for cutting part of the plastic wing away, so measure and mark the cut carefully first. Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water and cut the casting blocks off with a saw. Seat the flaps at a symmetrical angle on both halves of the wing, or the model will look crooked. They are joined with cyanoacrylate glue, and the thin edges need careful wet sanding. Lay on a primer before painting.
