The AT-S is a Soviet tracked artillery tractor of the postwar period. It served to tow heavy guns and trailers over terrain that wheeled vehicles could not cross: at the front it has an enclosed cab for the crew, and behind it a cargo bed for the gun crew and the load. The interior of the cab is visible on a finished model through the open doors and the glazing, so it is worth working on.
The set brings 3D-printed color interior elements, as the name itself states, carried on decal paper. An element is cut from the sheet, soaked in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the backing paper directly onto the plastic part of the kit. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they would attack the printed resin. The set is prepared for the Trumpeter kit in 1:35 scale.
First spray the area the element is going onto with a dark shade, wash it, degrease it and go over it with gloss varnish; the element has no adhesive layer of its own and holds precisely on the sheen. After soaking, slide the element off the paper, lay one edge down and only then set it in place, because it can be moved only to a limited extent. Press from the center toward the edges with a cotton swab, and on broken spots a drop of super glue helps. Finish the interior before the cab is closed up.
The model kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
