The decals 1:72 Befehlspanzer 5 are intended for the command versions of the heavy tanks Tiger I and Tiger II.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fifth part of the Befehlspanzer series from Star Decals closes off the theme of staff vehicles among the heavy tanks. According to the name it covers the command version of the Tiger I tank as well as its successor, that is the Tiger II. It is an addition for finishing a model in 1:72 scale.
Relatively few heavy tanks were built for the battalions, which makes the examples converted for commanders all the more interesting. Inside, another radio set and a man to work it were added, so the number of rounds carried went down. From the outside the vehicles were recognized by their additional aerials; otherwise they kept their usual look. The Tiger I had vertical hull walls and a wide gun mount; with the later type sloped armor and a longer barrel appeared. The command numbers of the heavy battalions were often written as an outline only, so that the vehicle would not draw attention from a distance.
Cover the area with a glossy coat first, ideally sprayed, so that it stays smooth. Soak the design and transfer it onto the model together with its paper, from which you pull it off sideways. Soak the excess water up and pierce any bubbles with the tip of a scalpel. Once dry, apply softener only where the design crosses a weld or an edge.
