Azure is a light, cool blue. In this form AK Interactive offers it as grass tufts two millimeters high, that is as ready-made growth prepared for seating onto a base or onto an area of terrain.
Blue growth does not belong in a field landscape, but it serves splendidly where it is to be obvious at first glance that the viewer is not looking at Earth. Alien planets, undersea scenes, icy and frosty sceneries, enchanted groves and the bases of figures with blue armor: azure brings all of this together. A cool shade moreover has one practical property. It optically recedes into the distance, so when you use it in the back part of a base and a warmer tone toward the front, a scene gains a depth it would otherwise not have in such a small area.
Blue needs neighbors that do not overpower it. It looks best on gray stone, dark rock or on an area of snow; on a green carpet, by contrast, it is lost. You will soften the transition to the rest of the terrain by breaking the edge of a cluster up into individual smaller tufts instead of one large island. Hold a tuft for a moment after seating it, so that it settles over its whole area and no edge is left lifted anywhere.
