The item is not a kit of the tank, but an accessory for imitating the glass of optical instruments on a model of it. The film is placed under the lenses of the gunsights, the vision blocks and the observation instruments, where it creates a colored refraction of light similar to real glass. Object 477 is the designation of a Soviet experimental tank program meant to bring a fundamental step forward over the types established at the time. The development was carried out in the spirit of bold design solutions and never reached series production, so the vehicles from this program remained at the level of prototypes and studies. Precisely for that reason it is a rewarding subject for modelers looking for something other than another production tank.
With unusual subjects it pays to go through all the places where the optics belong first, and only then reach for the knife: on prototype vehicles the layout of the instruments tends to be untypical. Mask around the lens beforehand, so that the painted surface nearby does not get scratched during seating. A gloss black base under the cut piece gives the reflection depth. The film is seated as the last step, once all the coats are finished.
