Six drums of two hundred liters, which SX-Art lists as type 2. This is standalone equipment for a scene, not a model of a machine. Alongside this rendition the manufacturer also makes type 1 and type 3, so the sets can be combined to obtain a less monotonous pile.
The arrangement decides whether a scene looks alive. It pays to set the vessels in irregular groups, to leave one leaning against a wall, to lay another on its side so that it stays wedged among the others, and to roll the last one aside. Do not forget to suggest an imprint in the soil or a wheel rut in the dust under the lying pieces. If you stack the drums on top of one another, insert thin battens from plastic strip between the layers; that is exactly how they are handled in reality too.
A metal container reacts to the weather and that shows most on the top end, where water stands. Concentrate rusty patches and dark runs there, then, and let them trickle down the body. Working from light rust to dark, not the other way round, works well. At the end unify the body with a light layer of dust, otherwise the patina would look too wild. The caps on the top end deserve separate attention, because they tend to be of a different metal and age differently from the body.
