It contains turned brass barrels for the .50 caliber (12.7 mm) Browning wing machine guns with drilled cooling jackets and a turned pitot tube. The late version has round cooling holes, and the set offers two options. The metal parts replace the plastic ones and bring sharp, scale-accurate detail.
The Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat was a carrier fighter of the US Navy from the early part of the Second World War. Early and late machines differed, among other things, in the design of the cooling jackets of the machine gun barrels; the late version had round cooling holes.
