A modeling tripod that holds a model or a single part during the build and the painting. Both hands stay free and the surface of the part stays free of fingerprints.
Responsibility details are not available.
The tripod holds a part in progress or a whole model during the build and the painting, so that you do not have to touch it with your fingers. With paint that is essential: fresh spraying is marked by a fingerprint at once, and grease from the fingers holds on the surface so well that the next coat of paint refuses to take to it. The model can also stay standing until it is completely dry, so the paint does not stick to the surface anywhere.
Fix the part into the stand before you set about spraying and leave it there until it is dry. Three points of support hold steadily even on a board that is not perfectly level, because a tripod has no way of rocking. You turn the stand and reach even the surfaces you would otherwise have to touch by hand.
Set aside a place for the stand away from the surface you cut and sand on, so that sanding dust does not settle into fresh paint. Glue small parts with a drop of glue onto a wooden stick and fix that into the stand; the surface of the part then stays entirely untouched. After work, wipe off dried drops of paint, otherwise a layer builds up on the stand over time that makes the parts sit crooked.
For modelers who spray paint and want both hands free while working, and for figure painters who spend long hours with a brush over a single piece. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
