Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the legendary Mercedes 300 SL sports car in 1:24 scale from Tamiya of Japan. The Full-View designation in the name refers to a version in which the builder can also see what is hidden beneath the surface of the car on the ordinary version. The exact make-up of the parts in the package is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The road-going 300 SL was presented in 1954 and immediately entered the history of the motor car. Because of the high sills of the tubular space frame, ordinary doors could not be used on the coupe, so they opened upward; it is from them that the car earned the nickname even someone with no interest in cars knows. Beneath the long hood lay a canted three-liter inline six-cylinder engine with mechanical direct fuel injection, a novelty on a production car at the time, thanks to which the 300 SL was among the fastest cars of its day. Its predecessor was the 1952 racing car, which succeeded at Le Mans and in the Mexican Carrera Panamericana among other places.
A body with such clean surfaces forgives little: it pays to remove the parting lines, smooth the surface and only then lacquer it, because every unevenness is accentuated under a glossy finish. Leave the chrome and polished items until the end and protect them while handling the model. The interior and the mechanicals deserve more work than usual, because on this version they will not stay hidden.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
