The package carries ten pieces of the smaller of the pair of plastic containers for fuel which the armed forces of the United States and Canada have in their equipment. Firma49 prints them on an SLA printer at high resolution, so the ribbing, the handles and the shape of the neck stay legible on the body. In the largest of the usual military scales that fineness really does show.
The ten-liter container corresponds to a volume of two and a half gallons and is the more sparing variant of the better known five-gallon container. The all-plastic version does not rust, stands up to frost and summer heat alike, and the individual pieces can be stacked on one another. With units they are carried in baskets on the fenders, in holders on the cargo bed or loose among the rest of the cargo, where the crew has them in sight all the time.
Cut the pieces off the print supports with a sharp scalpel and sand the marks from them down with fine abrasive paper. Before spraying, rinse the parts in lukewarm water and let them dry out perfectly. A thin layer of primer preserves the fine relief, a dark wash brings the pressings out and a dry brush on the edges gives the metallic touch of a worn surface.
The canisters are supplied unpainted and on the print supports, as an accessory to an already built vehicle.
