The real subject

The subject of the part is a gate made on a ground of its own. A gate is among the rewarding items in a diorama, because it tells a story by itself: it separates two settings, it offers a natural way through for figures and it leads the viewer's eye into the depth of the scene. At the same time it allows a striking display to be built over a small area where a whole building would not fit. The 1:35 scale matches the most widespread figures and models of military hardware.

Building and painting tips

The reveals of the opening and the lower part of the structure will take rather heavier soiling, because that is exactly where traffic rubs against the real subject. Add the dust and the deposits at the foot with pigments. Choose the glue according to the material of the part and check the particular procedure in the manufacturer's instructions.
