The French Infantry On The March No.7 figure in 1:35 scale from Dynamo-Models. The seventh number of the marching range of French infantry of 1940.
Responsibility details are not available.
The seventh and so far the highest number of the marching range of Dynamo-Models in 1:35 scale. Anyone building a more extensive scene will appreciate that the range offers enough numbers for a column to be put together without repeating the same stance. The item belongs among figures and serves as an accessory to a model or to terrain you prepare yourself.
A marching column from 1940 offers a modeler something a static scene cannot - time. Figures in movement suggest that something is happening before and after the frame, and the viewer fills the story in for himself. In the French campaign, moreover, columns often passed abandoned or damaged vehicles, village buildings and civilian carts, so marching infantry can be combined with practically any other element of a scene in the same scale.
Build the column along the longer edge of the base, not across it - that way you get more room for the gaps and the scene will read more calmly. When photographing, bring the lens down to the eye level of the figures, otherwise the column turns into a view from above and the sense of movement is lost. In color leave the background of the scene muted and save the contrast for the figures, so that they lead the eye in the frame. Paint the uniform in layers from a darker base toward lighter edges, and always tune the dust on the boots to the color of the base the column stands on.
