The attack helicopter has the pilot and the operator seated one behind the other under large angular glazing, so both stations are clearly apparent once the model is built. The sheet offers multifunction displays, control panels, side walls and seat belts in their final colors. The kit of the machine has to be owned already.
The E version is so far the last stage of development of the famous attack machine. It received more powerful engines, composite main rotor blades and a strengthened transmission, so it copes with a higher weight and with hot and high conditions. The greatest step forward, though, is in the electronics: the crew can take over the picture from unmanned aircraft and in an advanced mode even control them. Above the main rotor it can carry a radome for target acquisition, under the stub wings guided missiles and rocket pods, and under the forward fuselage there is a traversing 30 mm cannon linked to a helmet-mounted sight.
Both stations are narrow, so get ready tweezers with thin jaws and good light. Lay the elements on dry and fine-tune the position before you press down. The displays come out well under a drop of clear gloss medium; leave the rest of the compartment semi-matte.
