A spraying stencil in 1:35 scale with painted numbers for vehicles, crates and buildings in a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
A number is the most common marking of all on vehicles and in a scene. It appears on the turret and the fenders of a vehicle, on crates and barrels in a support area, on the door of a house and on the gates of a workshop. The stencil creates it directly with paint, so the result looks like a real spray through a metal pattern rather than a decal stuck on with a glossy edge.
The marking of vehicles in a scene suggests itself, along with the marking of supply material, numbers on barrels and transport crates, and the identifying marking of buildings or a store. Because the numbers are sprayed one at a time, any combination can be made up from them and you decide the spacing yourself. Compare the make-up and the size of the figures against the area you are aiming at beforehand. On a vehicle it pays to lay the position out in pencil or to set the edges out with masking tape, because a number set crooked shows on a finished model more than anything else.
Let the ground dry and dust it off. Lay the stencil down over its whole area, press it down or fix it around the edge with masking tape and line the position up beforehand against the edge of the part. Spray at right angles, at low pressure and in several light layers, or the paint will run under the edge. On older vehicles it is better not to take the number up to full opacity, so that it looks worn.
Paints, the model and other material are not part of this item, unless stated otherwise. The recommended thinning and the way of fixing the stencil are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
