The AMX-10 RC is a French six-wheeled armored vehicle with a powerful gun, which in the ground forces filled the role of reconnaissance and direct fire support. The designation RCR belongs to an upgraded version with improved electronics and protection. The abbreviation SEPAR refers to an add-on protection package with which the vehicles were fitted out before deployment on overseas missions, and it is that which changes the outline of the machine most markedly. The machines on missions also carried a great deal of material, because they operated far from support.
Vehicles on missions differ from their factory condition above all in their layer of dust and in the amount of material lashed to them.
