This injection-molded plastic kit from Tiger Model represents the French AMX-30 main battle tank in its final modernized B2 Brennus version. The set tends to be molded in light plastic and contains clear parts for the vision blocks, photo-etched elements, wire for the tow cables and individual plastic track links. A metal barrel for the main gun is included as well.
The AMX-30 was a long-serving French tank of the Cold War period. The B2 Brennus version arose within a modernization program that added blocks of reactive armor, an improved fire control system and further changes. The main armament is a 105 mm gun. The tank thus remained in service even at a time when its original design was beginning to age.
Finish the running gear, the wheels and the lower hull first, and only then close up the superstructure. The individual track links call for patience, but they reward you with a realistic sag. Glue the metal barrel and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. For painting, French green or the three-color NATO camouflage suits well. Bring out the scribed lines with a wash and refine the dust and mud on the running gear with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
