The M113 is an American tracked armored personnel carrier with an aluminum hull, one of the most widespread vehicles of its kind. Its low weight and simple boxy hull made it the basis for dozens of derived forms, from command and signals vehicles to engineer and recovery vehicles. The Australian army used the M113 for a very long time and progressively modified it. The form that carries the designation ALV is given in the name of the product; check the details of its equipment against your references for the real subject.
Parts for converting a finished M113 kit into the form stated. A conversion set does not replace a kit but changes part of it, so work on the original parts, cutting or modifying, is to be expected.
Before you start cutting, offer the parts up dry and mark the line of the cut on the kit in pencil; you cannot add material back. Cut rather further from the line and sand down to size. Cut the excess material off a little way from the part with a sharp blade. Before painting, wash and degrease every surface, including those on the kit you touched while sanding. The manufacturer's instructions give the right glue and the surface preparation.
The kit of the carrier, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
