Decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals intended for models of the BA-10M armored car at the moment when the German side was using it. This is an accessory to a finished model, not a kit.
The BA-10 was a Soviet heavy armored car built on the chassis of a production truck with two driven rear axles. It carried a rotating turret with a 45 mm gun, that is the same armament as the light tanks of the day, which made it an unusually heavily armed wheeled vehicle. The letter M denotes the modernized version. A large number of these vehicles passed into the hands of German units after 1941, and they took them on mainly for securing the rear, for training and for reconnaissance tasks. Captured equipment in such service was re-marked, so that their own units would not mistake it for a target.
Re-marked vehicles are exactly what gives room for a striking approach: apply the new insignia to an area where the older coat shows through beneath it, and indicate the edges of the overpainting with a thin shade a little lighter than its surroundings. Apply the decals onto a gloss base, unify them with a matte varnish once dry and only then add the dust. On a wheeled vehicle the greatest effect comes from the dirt on the fenders and the tire covers.
