1:35 BMP-1 IFV/AM Basurmanin

Mask set for the BMP-1 / AM Basurmanin (1:35)

A set of accurately cut self-adhesive masks from SX-Art for models of the BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle, or rather of its AM Basurmanin update, in 1:35 scale. The masks imitate the shape of the vision blocks and the observation devices, so that they can be sprayed to look like glass. It is neither paint nor a kit.

The real subject

The BMP-1 is the classic Soviet infantry fighting vehicle. The AM Basurmanin update replaces the original turret with a new weapon station with an automatic cannon and brings further changes. A realistic rendering of the vision blocks raises the fidelity of a finished model considerably.

Use

• Apply the masks to the vision blocks and the observation devices.
• Spray over them with a shade that imitates glass, for example a semi-gloss dark color.
• Lift the masks once dry and you get a clean, crisp shape to the vision block.

Who the set is for

• Modelers who want to render the vision blocks realistically without laborious masking by hand.
• Builders of Soviet and Russian armored vehicles in 1:35 scale.

The set contains masks only. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
