This photo-etched brass set adds stowage baskets for the turret and the hull to a model of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle in United Arab Emirates fit in 1:35 scale. The thin etched mesh looks more realistic than plastic and can be filled with gear and supplies.
The BMP-3 is a Soviet, later Russian infantry fighting vehicle with powerful combined armament. The export version for the United Arab Emirates differs from the basic one among other things in the added baskets for stowing materiel, which are a characteristic external feature of the vehicle in desert service.
Bend the mesh of the baskets carefully into a three-dimensional shape on a bending tool and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the baskets separately and fill them with gear, bags or camouflage netting once they are in place for a lively look. A wash and pigments bring out the structure of the wire mesh.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
