Star Decals 1:35 British 8th and 33rd Armoured Brigade is a set of markings for two independent armored brigades, including the divisional type of sign and AoS markings.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of Star Decals markings in 1:35 scale for the vehicles of the British 8th Armoured Brigade and the 33rd Armoured Brigade. The name gives the brigade sign and AoS markings.
Both units were among the independent armored brigades. They were not, therefore, a permanent part of an armored division, but were attached to infantry divisions as direct support for an attack. The crews thus had to get used to different infantry and different terrain every time, from the hedgerows of the Normandy bocage to the Dutch polders. The 8th Armoured Brigade supported the British infantry as early as the landing and stayed in Northwest Europe, while the 33rd Armoured Brigade made its mark in the fighting for Caen and in the operations that followed. For a modeler that means one practical thing: the markings of a supporting brigade appeared on vehicles alongside the units of entirely different divisions.
The set covers two different units, so before building, think through which of them you are building and do not mix the markings. Trim the carrier film as close to the printing as you can, so that a glossy edge is not lost on the matte coat of a tank. On British tanks from the summer of 1944 dusty fenders and clean signs are in keeping.
The package holds only the markings. A model of the tank, paints and varnishes are not included.
