The model in 1:35 scale from Roden offers a detailed body, a rotating turret with armament and well-worked running gear. The package holds injection-molded plastic sprues, rubber tires and a decal sheet with markings for several vehicles.
The Rolls-Royce armored car came about as early as the First World War on the chassis of the luxury Rolls-Royce 40/50 car, known as the Silver Ghost. The Pattern 1920 version represented an interwar modernization with a reworked turret. The cars served in colonial garrisons in the Middle East, in Mesopotamia and in India, where they proved themselves in patrol and policing duty. Tires for soft ground markedly improved mobility in sandy terrain.
We recommend thin cement for plastic and working from the chassis and the running gear. It is worth spraying the body with an airbrush, with a good primer as the base. Desert shades will stand out once washes and dust pigments have been applied to bring out the riveting and the edges of the plates. Degrease the rubber tires before painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
