An injection-molded plastic kit of the complete British Scammell Pioneer TRMU30 tank transporter outfit with the TRCU30 semi-trailer, in 1:35 scale from Thunder Model. The set brings the tractor and the 30-ton gooseneck semi-trailer together in one box and is supplemented with photo-etched parts, chain, cable and decals. It offers a well-worked chassis, a winch, a fully rendered engine and a cab with doors and windows that open.
The British tank transporter outfit was based on the Scammell Pioneer heavy tractor with 6x4 drive and a Gardner diesel engine. The TRMU30 tractor coupled to the TRCU30 semi-trailer formed a 30-ton outfit which during the Second World War moved tanks and heavy equipment and spared their running gear on long journeys.
Assemble and paint the chassis, the engine and the interior before closing up the body and before coupling the tractor to the semi-trailer. Use thin cement for plastic and clean away the flash. A primer as a base, the main colors with an airbrush, and finish the surface with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects. The outfit comes into its own in a diorama with the tank it is carrying.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
