The item 1:35 British tanker coverall at rest No1 from the brand PANZER ART is a single figure intended for a scene around a model. It captures a man of the crew of an armored vehicle dressed in a coverall, at a moment of calm outside combat activity. The designation in the name refers to the first of two positions that the maker carries for the same subject; the maker carries the second separately, and the two together also form a joint package.
Scenes where all the figures are heading somewhere or operating something look artificial. A calm pose brings breath into a scene and lets the surroundings come out, whether that is equipment under repair, a field camp or simply the edge of a road. A figure sitting or leaning moreover fills a space easily that would otherwise stay empty.
First rid the casting of grease and check it against the light for small bubbles in the folds. A coverall looks best when you work with very smooth transitions, because its fabric has no sharp edges. Leave the face to the end, when the surrounding surfaces no longer risk being smudged. You will manage the eyes even without the finest brush if you first lay down a dark base and rub the light white of the eye into it only after it has dried.
