A set of painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the kit of the Soviet armored personnel carrier BTR-50PK in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but an accessory for clean painting. The masks are cut from thin self-adhesive film and follow the shape of the parts, so hand trimming and taping fall away.
The BTR-50 is a Soviet tracked amphibious armored personnel carrier derived from a light amphibious tank. The PK version has a closed armored roof over the troop compartment. The vehicle is fully amphibious and moves through water on water jets. The running gear is a row of wheels with rubber tire bands.
The masks let you separate the color of the rubber tire bands from the metal centers of the road wheels and paint small areas cleanly. The result is a precise border without slow masking by hand.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
