Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German light aircraft Arado Ar 76 in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand RS Models. It is a short-run kit meant for more advanced modelers; the package holds gray plastic parts, a clear cockpit part and a decal sheet. The model captures the A and B versions of this high-wing machine with its characteristic strut-braced wing.
The Arado Ar 76 was a single-seat high-wing monoplane developed in the mid-1930s as an advanced trainer and emergency fighter. It came out of the competition for a standard training machine for the newly rebuilt Luftwaffe. Although it did not win against the competition, it was built only in limited numbers and the machines served with flying schools as trainers and aerobatic aircraft. The open cockpit, the fixed landing gear and the mixed construction are typical features of the aircraft of its day.
Expect the properties of a short-run mold: heavier sprue gates, finer locating pins and the need to dry-fit the parts. Glue the joints with a thin cement for plastic, fill any small gaps with putty and sand them over. Apply a filler primer before painting, which will show up the flaws in the surface. The engraved panel detail comes out well once it has been sprayed with an airbrush and the lines lightly picked out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
