An injection-molded plastic kit of the BTR-60PA armored personnel carrier in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The set captures the version with an enclosed armored compartment for the troops. The box contains plastic parts, photo-etched parts, decals and soft parts.
The BTR-60 is a Soviet eight-wheeled amphibious armored personnel carrier introduced at the beginning of the 1960s. Unlike the original open version, the BTR-60PA has a fully roofed fighting compartment. The vehicle is amphibious, driven in the water by a waterjet, and it served in a number of Eastern Bloc armies and beyond.
Assemble the chassis and the wheels first, then the hull. The wheels and the tires are best painted separately. Use thin cement on the plastic, spray with an airbrush over a primer and bring the surface to life with washes and fine dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
