Eduard 1:35 CH-54A TFace is a double-sided painting mask for the glazing of a CH-54A helicopter model in 1:35 scale; it covers the outer and the inner side.

A masking set for a model of the CH-54A helicopter in 1:35 scale in the TFace form. With Eduard the TFace designation means that the set contains masks for both sides of the glazing, the outer and the inner. The frames can therefore be sprayed from the inside in the cabin color and from the outside in the color of the machine, which on glazing you can see into is a difference at first glance.
The difference from the basic set. Eduard makes two masking sets for this machine with the same base name. This one is the double-sided one. The basic variant without the TFace suffix handles only the outer side.
The Sikorsky CH-54A Tarhe is an American heavy helicopter of the flying crane layout. The fuselage narrows between the cabin and the tail into a boom, and the load is carried slung under the machine or in a container between the tall landing gear legs. The cabin is glazed over a large area including the lower panes and has a station for a crew member seated facing aft. The cabin is therefore genuinely visible on a finished model, and the inner side of the frames is not a detail that can be skimped.
Wash the clear part free of grease and let it dry. Transfer the masks with tweezers and press the edges down with a toothpick. The procedure that works: stick on the inner masks, spray the inner side in the interior color, let it dry, then stick on the outer masks and spray the outside. Spray thinly and several times, so that no step appears at the edge. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried. Before closing the cabin up, check that no fingerprint or dust has been left inside, because under the glazing it can no longer be put right.
The mask is an accessory to a model. The plastic model, paints and thinner are not included, unless stated otherwise.
