An injection-molded plastic kit of the British main battle tank Challenger 2 in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. The model captures the modern tank in desert service, including the canvas side skirts. The main gun and the commander sight are movable, and clear parts reproduce the optics and the lights.
The Challenger 2 followed on from the renowned Challenger 1 of the Gulf War. It received a redesigned turret with Chobham composite armor, the 120 mm rifled L30 gun and modernized electronics and fire control system. It entered service from 1998 and British armored units used it in desert service.
First finish the running gear and the lower hull. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and, after the primer, apply the desert shade with an airbrush. Bring out the canvas skirts and the fittings with a wash, and suggest dust and sand with light pigments on the running gear and the sides.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
