This is a diorama accessory in 1:35 scale, not a model of a vehicle. Blocks are among the small elements that can settle a view into its setting at once: they suggest a wall under construction, a makeshift shelter, a heap of material in a yard or, on the contrary, debris after a hit. The manufacturer makes this subject in a numbered range whose individual variants follow on from one another - this is the first of them.
Cinder and concrete blocks took hold in the first half of the twentieth century as a cheap substitute for fired brick. They are made by pressing into molds, have hollow cores and are markedly larger than a brick, so a wall built from them goes up quickly. What matters for a modeler is that they break differently from brick - a crack runs across the cores and exposes the inner walls, so a damaged block looks entirely unlike a damaged brick wall. It is exactly this detail that makes a scene believable.
Blocks work best in groups with some irregularity: a neat heap with a few pieces fallen to one side looks livelier than a perfect stack. In a view they suit walls, the corners of yards, the beds of vehicles and an improvised barrier. The number of pieces, the dimensions and the material are stated on the box.
