Digital camouflage masks for the Ukrainian MT-LB armored tractor in 1:35 scale draw out the pixel scheme established with Ukrainian units.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of pre-cut pieces carries the digital camouflage the vehicles wear with Ukrainian units onto the low hull of the MT-LB. The hull is flat, long and has only slightly sloped sides, so the pattern is laid onto it fairly easily; what calls for attention above all are the transitions across the hatches and the fenders above the road wheels, where the raster has to carry over.
The MT-LB is a light tracked armored vehicle designed as an artillery tractor and carrier, but in service it has been given dozens of further roles: it carries mortars, antiaircraft guns, medical equipment and radars. Its wide tracks give it such a low ground pressure that it gets through a bog and deep snow alike, and the machine is amphibious on top of that. That is exactly why it stays in service even after decades.
Before applying, degrease the surface and let the base shade cure thoroughly. Do not slide the pieces about dry but lay them straight onto their target place, because repeated moving makes the tape lose its tack and the edges then lift. The tracks and the road wheels are more practical to finish separately and attach only after the pattern has been sprayed onto the hull.
