A complete diorama base showing the corner of a city street in 1:35 scale. This is not a kit of a vehicle or an aircraft but the finished groundwork of a scene: it combines cast plaster parts with the texture of brickwork and paving with laser-cut accessories. The base creates the setting for figures and military vehicles in the same scale.
The load-bearing part consists of cast plaster segments with a brick and paved structure that cut, drill and work easily. The laser-cut parts make up the finer elements, for example frames and fittings. Plaster takes water-based paints well, so patina and weathering look realistic.
First clean the parts of flash and of any casting imperfections; small cracks are easy to repair. They can be glued with PVA glue (white glue) as well as with cyanoacrylate glue, and the joints can be filled with plaster or acrylic putty. An airbrush is ideal for the base tone, followed by washes and pigments to bring out the joints and the dirt.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
