Plastic kit of the American light cargo and command vehicle Dodge WC-52 in 1:35 scale. The model from Zvezda offers a detailed chassis and drivetrain, a front winch and faithfully shaped wheels with a spare. The box contains decals for several options.
The Dodge WC-52 was a three-quarter-ton truck with all-wheel drive which in the Second World War served to carry troops and cargo and as a tractor for light weapons. The front winch made self-recovery and towing possible. Tens of thousands were built and besides the American army it served with the Allies including Britain and the Soviet Union. Its reliability and simplicity made it one of the mainstays of Allied logistics.
Assemble and paint the chassis and the gearbox before setting the body on. Dirty the tires with pigments and bring the paint of the body to life with gentle edge highlighting and discreet dusting. The winch and its cable are a rewarding detail to bring out with rubbed metal.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
